SAPULPA CHIEFTAINS CLAIMS LEAD IN SIXTH INNING TO DEFEAT BARTLESVILLE
Sapulpa Chieftains defeated Bartlesville 12-111 on Tuesday after taking the lead late in the game. Sapulpa Chieftains trailed 11-10 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Evan Casey doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.
Both offenses were strong at the plate as Sapulpa Chieftains collected ten hits and Bartlesville 13 in the high-scoring affair
Bartlesville got on the board in the first inning. Bartlesville scored three runs when Jacob Hall doubled.
Bartlesville scored five runs in the third inning. The big inning for Bartlesville came thanks to an error on a ball put in play by Drew Garrett and Grant Yardley and a double by Lukas Rietfors.
Rees Kidd took the win for Sapulpa.
