CHIEFTAINS DOMINATE IN HWY 97 RIVALRY
Andrew Merrihew took the win for Sapulpa Chieftains. He allowed three hits and two runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Jacob Esch threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Brock Youngblood took the loss for Sand Springs. He went four and a third innings, allowing seven runs on ten hits and striking out one.
Sapulpa Chieftains tallied 14 hits in the game. Wyatt Sellers, Williams, Ethan Williams, Kyle Alcorn, and Coffey each had multiple hits for the Sapulpa Chieftains. Sapulpa Chieftains didn't commit a single error in the field. Williams had the most chances in the field with seven.
